The proposed intervention involves the construction of a new multipurpose sports facility located along the Strada per Olcenengo in Vercelli, a strategic area for enhancing the local territory through sports. This project, born within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), Mission 5 – Inclusion and Cohesion, aims to create an inclusive and multifunctional space suitable for various sports disciplines.
The sports complex will consist of three new multipurpose courts intended for basketball, volleyball, tennis, roller sports, including rink hockey and skating, in addition to an existing skatepark. The design complies with the federal regulations of the individual sports disciplines, ensuring high quality and safety standards. The inclusion of permeable pavements, designed to reduce environmental impact, and infrastructure accessible to all, represents one of the pillars of the intervention. The project, in addition to improving the local sports offerings, aims to contribute to social cohesion by providing a meeting and integration place for the community, addressing the needs for inclusion and active participation.
